Since 2013, Marianne has been working extensively in the open government and public financial management reforms space. She currently handles GIFT’s communications portfolio and oversees the implementation of GIFT’s Fiscal Openness Accelerator (FOA) project, an initiative that aims to enhance fiscal transparency and co-create pilot public participation mechanisms in the national budget process of selected African countries.

Prior to joining GIFT, she served as the country point of contact of the Open Government Partnership in the Philippines, and led the Governance Reforms and Fiscal Transparency Division of the Philippine Department of Budget and Management.
